For 11 groundbreaking seasons, the show reinvented the sitcom, with wild storylines and offbeat comedy all about “love and marriage”. The endearingly quirky family at the center of it all was led by world weary shoe salesman Al Bundy (Ed O’Neill) with his ditzy do-nothing wife Peggy (Katey Sagal), his daughter the gorgeous but dim-witted Kelly (Christina Applegate) and his son, the egocentric schemer Bud (David Faustino). Along with an assortment of neighbors, guest stars and of course Buck the dog, the family somehow pulled together, accepted each other’s idiosyncrasies and entertained us all.
